FREE Tasting with Friuli’s Livon Winery
Feb 7, 2019 4:30pm - 6:00pm
In the far northeast corner of Italy, there is an area called Friuli-Venezia Giulia. These gentle hills are protected from the northern winds by the Julian Alps and touched by the warm breezes from the sea. This is where the wines of Livon are produced.
We are thrilled to welcome Livon Winery’s Export Director, Maurizio Dalmasson to Halifax. Join us in our shop for a FREE tasting!
The history of Livon wines date back to 1964 when Dorino Livon bought his first vineyards on the hills of Collio, in Italy’s North eastern region of Friuli bordering Slovenia. The Collio region is re-known for producing some of Italy’s most enduring white wines. Livon has a diverse portfolio of wines and has earned a reputation for crafting brilliant white wines in Collio, though their holdings have expanded to other areas in Italy. Livon produces both approachable everyday drinking white wines as well as limited production wines from designated Cru and Gran Cru sites.
