Bodegas Care was founded in year 2000 as a familiar and modern project focused on grape and wine quality. With 150 hectares and 4.000m2 state of the art facilities for winemaking, the winery aims to lead an area with a great heritage. The D.O.P. Cariñena is located in north-east Spain. Vineyards are at altitudes of 600 to 800 meters. The climate is continental and Mediterranean with little rainfall and the area is impacted by a cold and dry wind called Cierzo. The soils are generally rocky and poor in nutrients.
Tasting Notes
The wine displays and attractive red colour with layers. Bright colour. Clean powerful aromas of ripe red and black fruits with cacao and coffee bean notes. On the palate one finds spices, toasty hints and mature notes, with a perfectly integrated tannic structure. On the finish the wine is rich, elegant, powerful and fruit driven.
Method
100% Grenache grapes from old vines (over 50 years) from the Carinena DOP in Aragon (province of Zaragoza). Aged 8 months in American oak barrels.
