James Roue Beverage Company Rum-Nova Brule (750ml)

The base spirit in all of the rums from this producer comes from three different distillates; Guatemalan cane sugar spirit is mixed with Mauritius molasses spirit and then blended with a small touch of Jamaican high ester rum.

This amber rum was aged for several months in Quebec maple syrup Brule® barrels (ex-bourbon) and used rum barrels, then bottled and lightly back sweetened with a little dark maple syrup. The ex-Bourbon/maple barrels undergo a special toasting process where the barrels are re-toasted and the remaining maple syrup in the barrel chars and caramelizes. Then, the rum is added to age – this unique aging method infuses deep, rich flavors of burnt sugar and caramel into the rum.
