From the Adelphi distillery. Maclean’s Nose is a traditional blended scotch whisky, with some modern twists, and takes its name both from the Maclean’s Nose landmark on the Ardnamurchan peninsula and from the whisky legend Charles Maclean, who has acted as a guide and mentor to them over the years.
Tasting Notes
From the distillery: “Nose: Burnt citrus peel,sea salt, bonfire. Nectarine syrup, lime
marmalade, hay bales, coal bunker and oilyshed.
Palate: Puffed rice, homemade rice pudding and white chocolate.
Bright citruslime pickle. Chantilly cream and Viennetta ice cream.
Ferrero Rocher. Hessian. Burning heather and smoked praline.”
Method
Blended to have a West Coast Character with both a high malt content (70%) and a high proportion of ex-sherry casks. The label uses crushed barley paper made from a byproduct of whisky production. Un chill filtered. Natural Colour. 25 000 bottles released.
