A deep and bright ruby-red colour; the aroma of this wine bursts into hints of prunes and cherry jam, with mineral notes and cinnamon. The taste has an impact of volume, although it is fine, rich and balanced, with hints of small wild berries and spices on the finish. I’ve enjoyed it with big vegetable flavours like caramelised onions, mushrooms and olives. Simply sipping on it with no food and of course meat; burgers, tenderloin and even grilled chicken. Honestly, a staple wine in my house now; both well-priced and delicious!

Quite enjoyed this wine. Had it with pepperoni pizza and garlic fingers one night and opened another bottle just casually another and both times it exceeded my expectations. I think it’s the mineral notes that may throw people off in the beginning (my wife was originally unsure how she felt about it) but it was a wine that definitely grew on her.
