Nestled in Blackford, Scotland, Tullibardine’s history dates as far back as the 1400s, where the buildings formerly housed a brewery – even serving beer to King James 4th of Scotland! Flash forward to 1947 when the brewery was converted into a distillery, producing its first drop of spirit in 1949. Despite the distillery changing hands a few times over the years since, Tullibardine’s reputation for the highest quality Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky hasn’t wavered.
Tasting Notes
From the distillery: On the nose, delicate dried hay and parma violets with touches of baked apple, cloves, and vanilla ice cream. On the palate, notes of freshly baked scones with hints of strawberry jam and clotted cream, married with delicate spices followed by a finish of subtle nuttiness.
Method
Matured in first-fill Bourbon casks- under the watchful eye of Tullibardine’s Master Distiller, in their traditional warehouse at the foot of the Ochil Hills.
