Les Vins de Bordeaux
Nov 22, 2013 5:00pm - 7:00pm
Bordeaux is known for their intricate, age worthy blends of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet Franc. The Gironde River separates the region into the areas known as the Left Bank and the Right Bank, although they are allowed to grow the same five grapes, it is the soil composition and the microclimates of each bank that depict which will dominate the blend. Left bank blends tend to be dominated by Cabernet Sauvignon, while on the right bank Merlot is King. With a ranking system of the best Chateau’s dating back to 1855, Bordeaux is rich in tradition, quality and price.
