FREE Lightfoot & Wolfville Ancienne Wines Launch In Store

We are thrilled to host our friends at Lightfoot & Wolfville as they unveil the second vintage of their Ancienne Pinot Noir and Ancienne Chardonnay. Their 2014 Ancienne Chardonnay was just awarded the Lieutenant Governor’s Award for Excellence in Nova Scotia Wines. 

Due to open in 2017, this family-owned winery in Nova Scotia’s Annapolis Valley is dedicated to certified organic and biodynamic agriculture alongside Old World winemaking techniques. Furthermore, Lightfoot & Wolfville have also committed to producing classic vinifera grapes such as Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Riesling, and other German-style wines selected for their microclimate.

Join us as we celebrate the release of this year’s head turning Ancienne wines. Both were vinified according to traditional Burgundian winemaking techniques with indigenous fermentation and full indigenous malolactic conversion.  Aged 18 months in French oak.

Be among the first to taste wines from one of Nova Scotia’s newest producers at this FREE in-store tasting. Some snacks will be available as well.
