Tasting Notes
In the glass, opaque ruby colour with a purple hue. The nose immediately reveals an autumnal bouquet of dried bay leaves and ripe berries, supported by smoky undertones. The palate is now showing the perfect integration of power and tannins, with fresh herbs and a hint of cassis and fresh cherries. Silky yet structured, the wine seamlessly combines power and elegance and captivates with a long finish marked by elegant notes of earthy forest floor and spice.
Method
Wild Rock Red is a complex blend capturing the complementary qualities of Cabernet Franc and Gamay. Ripening earlier than its close sibling Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc thrives in cool climates influenced by surrounding bodies of water. Equally early ripening, Gamay offers more fruit and exuberance. Together, they form a formidable pair combining structure and elegance.
