Domain Bonnet Huteau is situated in the center of the Muscadet vineyard, in the Sèvre & Maine appellation, 20km from Nantes.  This domain has been producing Muscadet for more than 150 years.  Winemakers and brothers, Jean-Jacques and Rémi Bonnet along with  Vincent Pineau operate the Domaine Bonnet-Huteau.  They strive to reflect the diversity and minerality of the terroir: gneiss, amphibolite, and granite.  The wines are certified organic and biodynamic.

Tasting Notes

Delicate nose with notes of lime, lemon, melon, and nectarine.  Those same notes carry onto the palate where these fruit flavours are met with fine tea like tannins and balanced refreshing acidity.  This is a delicious and easy to enjoy orange wine that will appeal to discerning skin contact wine drinkers as well as those who are new to this style of wine.   Bonnet Orange makes a great apéritif and pairs well with light starters.

This is 100% hand harvested Pinot Gris from the Muscadet Sèvre-et-Maine appellation in the Loire Valley.  50% of the grapes macerate for 12 days followed by fermentation before ageing underground in concrete tanks while the other 50% macerate for one month followed by fermentation and ageing in an egg-shaped 700-liter terracotta container.
