Founded by the concept of creating amazing spirits from locally-sourced ingredients, Compass began production in July 2017 in the heart of Halifax, Nova Scotia with only the highest of standards and quality in mind. Shortly after, their beautiful cocktail bar & tasting room followed, opening that October.
Compass crafts artisan spirits from scratch, with the best locally sourced ingredients, by people who have a passion for the process and the result. Local grain and unique wild plants are used as well as raw ingredients like sugar and molasses and even locally sourced botanicals, like juniper, cucumber, butterfly pea flower and ginger.
Tasting Notes
This is a delightful whisky based ready to drink single serve cocktail. The palate is slightly decadent, with warm spicy whisky notes, coffee complimented by sweet dark chocolate and cherry. The combination of flavours is wonderfully balanced. This makes a delicious after dinner treat to slowly sip and savour and will appeal to those who love classic whisky cocktails and coffee laden drinks. Open, pour over ice and enjoy!
Method
Quick Draw is Compass’ take on the contemporary Revolver cocktail. This ready-to-drink cocktail features Compass’ Granite & Grain Whisky, their new limited release Coffee Liqueur, their house made Chocolate Bitters and Sour Cherry Juice.
