This family estate has vineyards in the Cote de Beaune; some are in appellations around the famous hill of Corton in the northern part of the Cote de Beaune in the communes of Aloxe-Corton and Ladoix. The others are located in Santenay in the southern part of the Côte de Beaune. In 2013, Romain Moniot, fresh out of his winemaking education, joined his parents Françoise and Laurent on the estate. Under Romain’s management, the vineyard area grew from 4 to 8.5 hectares as well as experienced a growth in terms of quality. Their efforts have been recognized and lauded by sommeliers and critics.
Tasting Notes
Aromas of lemon curd, white peach, pear, toasted almond and brioche. The palate is medium bodied, soft and creamy with lightly refreshing acidity and minerality. Stone fruit, citrus and light toast flavours are pleasantly integrated and harmonious. The gentle oak does not overpower the fruit. Wonderful texture and length. A wine that would compliment a range of dishes and would pair particularly well with seafood pasta or seafood mains, chicken dishes or simply some sourdough bread with good butter or soft creamy cheese.
