Monlia Timorasso Colli Tortonesi DOC – Oddero (750ml)

The essence of our Timorasso emerges from a millennia-old past. Nine million years ago, the area around Tortona was a seabed. Today, that same land gives our wine its extraordinary minerality.  The secret lies in the Sant’Agata Marl, a bluish-gray soil that links the Tortona Hills to the most prestigious areas of the Langhe. The same geological composition that made La Morra Barolo famous is found here in the vineyards: a mosaic of clay, silt, sand, and minerals that gives Timorasso its unmistakable identity.

This wine is made from Timorasso grown in vineyards owned and tended to by Monlià.  The grapes are cultivated organically; grown without synthetic pesticides, fertilizers and herbicides.  50% vinified in stainless steel and 50% vinified in oak.  It is aged in both large Austrian oak barrels and stainless steel for one year before bottling.
