Gnarly Head Zinfandel

Gnarly Head wines began with a vision and a vine. In 2004, on a mission to make a serious Zinfandel, their winemakers journeyed to Lodi in central California in search of old vine Zinfandel vineyards. Grown in the head-trained, spur-pruned method for over a century, these vigorous gnarled vines produced more ripened red fruit than they had ever seen. They took it as a challenge to create the biggest, boldest Zinfandel they had ever made. The result was authentic, structured wines. The winery selects grapes from some of the best vineyards in Northern California to produce wines in the Gnarly house style- big and juicy.

Baron de Ley Blanco

Barón de Ley is a winery located in Spain’s most celebrated wine region, Rioja a privileged terroir to farm and craft premium quality wines.Housed in a centuries-old monastery, where the monks made wine more than 500 years ago, Barón de Ley was founded in 1985 as a ground-breaking project in DOCa Rioja: a vineyard-focused winery inspired by the Médoc châteaux.  It models its approach on the French concept of “château” where the grapes are sourced from the property’s own vineyards rather than sourcing the grapes from contract growers as was typical of this area.  They own more than 600 hectares of vineyard in different Rioja subregions, which guarantee top-quality wines with personality and where they can capitalise on the different locations, micro-climates, soils and grape varieties Rioja has to offer.

Barón de Ley takes manual harvest to new heights through a combination of hand-harvesting and hand-sorting of 1.8 million kg of grape every vintage, an impressive milestone in Rioja.

With the rising importance of whites and rosés at Barón de Ley, they have a dedicated cellar to make and age these wines the traditional way using concrete vats.  Concrete, thanks to its microporosity, allows micro-oxygenation and opens new possibilities to maximise wine’s aromatic expression.
