Maison Champy Edme Bourgogne Rouge (750ml)

Maison Champy was established in 1720, which makes it the the oldest wine company in Burgundy. The winery was designed by architect, Gustave Eiffel (yup, he’s kind of famous!) and is a UNESCO world heritage site.  It is located on top of an ancient 15th-century Jacobin monk cellar.  It was was also the place where scientist, Louis Pasteur had a laboratory and developed the pasteurization method; yuo can still view his equipment there today.  Winemaking is led by Technical Director and Oenologist, Dimitri Bazas who has been with Maison Champy for more than 20 years.  The estate has 52 acres of organically farmed vineyards in Beaune planted to Pinot Noir and Chardonnay.
