Château La Nerthe 🪨

Château La Nerthe, established in 1560, is one of Châteauneuf-du-Pape’s oldest estates, with 220 acres of vineyards atop the famed “La Crau” plateau. Its sandy-clay soils, covered in galets, and a nearby natural spring create a rare microclimate—producing all 13 permitted varietals into wines noted for their elegance, aromatic intensity, and structure. Try these new French beauties today and don’t forget about their delicious Rosé from Tavel!

Marchand Tawse Meursault

French-Canadian Pascal Marchand moved to France in 1985 when he was 22 years old, beginning his winemaking journey at Clos des Epeneaux in Pommard and becoming part of a new generation of Burgundy producers who believed that good wine starts in the vineyard. After several stints all around the world and an impressive resume of consulting, Pascal became one of the best known “flying winemakers.”

Moray Tawse is a financier by trade, serving as the vice president and co-founder of First National. After realizing the potential of winemaking in Niagara, Ontario, Moray purchased his first six acres of vineyard in 2000. Five years later, he opened Tawse winery and has since acquired 200 acres of vineyards all over the Niagara region and has been named Canadian Winery of the year multiple times.

Marchand-Tawse is a co-venture between Pascal and Moray; this duo of vignerons/micro-négociants are working with their partner-growers in the many appellations of Burgundy while embracing organic and biodynamic farming practices, crafting wines of purity and class.

Arran Single Malt 🥃

Arran Single Malt is back with their fan favourite ‘The Bodega’ Sherry Cask; it’s turned into a customer-favourite around here.  We’ve also managed to secure another special bottle from this remote distillery so scroll to find out more about their Barrel Reserve… Before they sell out!

Arran Single Malt Barrel Reserve

After a 160-year hiatus, 1995 saw Lochranza Distillery open and the Isle of Arran returned to whisky production. The hope was that they could capture the island’s unique whisky character…once referred to as “Arran Water”.  Despite the fact this is an island scotch, Arran Malt is not known for its peat. The flavor profile is cereal with a distinct citrus note, thought to come from the use of small stills that are run very slowly. A relatively new distillery in terms of Scotch, Arran is one of the few independent  distilleries remaining.
