Tasting Notes
Phancy is a hazy IPA brewed with Phantasm, a flavour extract from Marlborough Sauvingnon Blanc grapes. Clocking in a 7.0% abv, this beer is low in bitterness but high in flavour and aroma. Expect a full-bodied beer with notes of passionfruit, tangerine, and grape juice that lead into a silky smooth palate.
Method
Emphasizing hop aroma and flavour without bracing bitterness, the New England IPA leans heavily on late and dry hopping techniques to deliver a bursting juicy, tropical hop experience. The skillful balance of technique and ingredient selection, often including the addition of wheat or oats, lends an alluring haze to this popular take on the American IPA. Phancy IPA from Lone Oak also sees the addition of Phantasm, an extract from New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc grapes.
