Deep Roots Distillery 🪾

Deep Roots Distillery started to take root in 1990 when they planted their first 200 apple trees.  Using only apples from the orchard, they fermented, distilled and aged their Apple Brandy in oak barrels. Now 30 years later, Deep Roots offers a full line of award winning spirits, liqueurs, ciders, and maple syrup – all made by the founding family in Prince Edward Island. We’re pleased to welcome two of their liqueurs from the Gentle Island; try their Coffee Liqueur in your next Espresso Martini!

Bruichladdich 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Revived in 2001, Bruichladdich, established in 1881 by the Harvey Brothers, blends tradition with innovation. While using Victorian-era equipment, the distillery embraces modernity with diverse barrel finishes like Bordeaux and Cognac, and contemporary packaging. In 2003, Mid Coul’s organic barley marked a new era, with the estate’s sustainable practices turning waste into fertilizer and generating electricity. We have two bottles from this famous Islay producer in limited quantities; get yours before they sell out!

Bruichladdich The Organic 2011

Built in 1881 by the Harvey Brothers, this mothballed distillery began production again in 2001. Using equipment dating back to the Victorian ages, that is about the only old-fashioned thing about Bruichladdich (brook-lad-ee). Innovative and creative, Bruichladdich has an open minded approach to the barrels used for finishing their scotches (including first growth Bordeaux, Cognac and Amarone casks), as well as modern packaging that holds their spirits.

In 2003, Mid Coul delivered Bruichladdich’s inaugural harvest of organic barley. This forward-thinking 2,755-acre estate operates with a closed-loop fertility system, which not only generates electricity through an anaerobic digester but also recycles nearly all waste materials into fertilizer.

Bruichladdich Islay Barley 2013

Built in 1881 by the Harvey Brothers, this mothballed distillery began production again in 2001. Using equipment dating back to the Victorian ages, that is about the only old-fashioned thing about Bruichladdich (brook-lad-ee). Innovative and creative, Bruichladdich has an open minded approach to the barrels used for finishing their scotches (including first growth Bordeaux, Cognac and Amarone casks), as well as modern packaging that holds their spirits.

Bruichladdich’s Islay series is focused on displaying the terroir of the island- the belief that the soil, climate, local weather patterns, geogrpahic orientations and natural influences all influence the final flavour profile of the whisky.
