Candid is an independent family-owned and operated brewery that handcrafts small batches of beer right in the heart of Antigonish. 

Located in the former Casket News building on 88 College Street, head brewer Bryan Druhan and his partner Louise Brennan opened Candid in May 2021 with the aim of providing a friendly, cozy space for beer enthusiasts, novices and everybody in between.

Tasting Notes

With dank aromas of pine resin, grapefruit zest, and subtle caramel that lead into a robust old school West Coast IPA. Candid does a great job here at giving you clean, bitter, and powerful hop aromas and flavours without getting too harsh. This beer is nicely balanced! A nod to the IPAs of yesteryear.

Characterised by floral, fruity, citrus-like, piney or resinous American-variety hop character, the West Coast IPA beer style is all about hop flavour, aroma and bitterness.
