For over 100 years, the Cocchi winery has been cemented as one of Italy’s greatest producers of vermouths, and aperitivos. Based in Asti, a small town in Northern Italy that is the captitol of Moscato wine. Today the winery still maintains its artisan character and follows the original recipes, formulated by Giulio Cocchi in 1891, to craft the distinctive wines that have made the Cocchi a cult name.
Tasting Notes
From the distillery: “Cocchi Dry Vermouth di Torino, through the use of Piedmontese Artemisia, rare bitter herbs and high quality white wine, embodies the essence of a classic Vermouth di Torino. The unique recipe is enriched with citrus fruits, bergamot infusion and Alpine herbs leading to a dryer and more floral taste profile, and an exceptional drinking experience.”
Method
Produced in very limited quantities, the rare Cocchi Dry Vermouth was crafted after many years of requests and testing, before being launched globally. Intentionally made to highlight and perfect a Martini, this vermouth was closely watched over by bartenders, winemakers, oenologists and botanists. Using high quality white wine that is then infused with rare, bitter herbs, Cocchi earns the right to use the Vermouth di Torino appellation, guaranteeing quality.
