In 2010, the idea of brewing a gluten-free beer in Quebec was first discussed by two long-time friends and entrepreneurs. One of the co-founders, who had been living with gluten intolerance for several years, remained dissatisfied with the gluten-free beer on the market. He and his partner then saw a unique opportunity to meet a growing need and to realize what both of them had long dreamed of: running their own business. This is how the two acolytes launched their business with the aim of pushing the limits of gluten-free brewing.

This Montreal based brewery crafts delicious gluten-free beer. Glutenberg’s Blonde is the proud originator of the line up. The brewery’s first official creation, it paved the way for success and continues to assert itself today as a thirsty beer that will charm all palates.

Tasting Notes

Its flagship blonde is made from a combination of millet and corn; reveals a delicate golden colour when poured. Look for aromas of floral hops, pear, white pepper and light herbal notes with flavours of green tea and lemon peel. The finish is dry and refreshing

Method

This Blonde Ale is brewed with millet, and corn for the “malt” base, and a little demerara sugar for added depth. American hop varieties are used that provide subtle citrus and herbal notes. Often cold conditioned or lagered to create a light and refreshing palate.

I have celiac disease and missed beer the most. By far Glutenburg Blond is the most enjoyable and great tasting GF beer on the market. I consider it a premium tasting GF beer.
