The Lenotti family has been producing wines in the Veneto since 1906 in Bardolino, the area around Verona and Lake Garda.   Since 1968, the farm has been bottling and selling the wines directly with the main goal of supplying clients with high quality products at competitive prices. At present the estate is run by the Giancarlo Lenotti (oenologist , production manager and facilities supervisor), Marina Lenotti (sales manager for the home market), and their son Claudio (export manager).  They export 90% of their production.

Tasting Notes

Pale straw-yellow in the glass with a green hue.  A subtle fragrance of citrus blossom, strone fruit, almond.  The palate medium bodied and fresh with a crisp and clean finish.  Serve this youthfiul wine well chilled and enjoy as an aperitif, with hors d’oeuvre, light dishes, fish and seafood.

Method

Lugana is a growing area south of Lake Garda in the Veneto region of eastern Italy.  The lake influence and ancient Morenic soils (glacial origin) combined with clay, are ideal for growing the Turbiana grape (also known as Trebbiano di Lugana).   The grapes are softly pressed and fermentation happens at a controlled temperature of 15- 16°C in stainless steel followed by a cold bottling; all of these steps to preserve the freshness of the wine.
