The Lenotti family has been producing wines in the Veneto since 1906 in Bardolino, the area around Verona and Lake Garda. Since 1968, the farm has been bottling and selling the wines directly with the main goal of supplying clients with high quality products at competitive prices. At present the estate is run by the Giancarlo Lenotti (oenologist , production manager and facilities supervisor), Marina Lenotti (sales manager for the home market), and their son Claudio (export manager). They export 90% of their production.
Tasting Notes
The wine is an intense ruby red with a pronounced nose of field berries and a subtle complimentary herbaceous note. The palate is epxressive with ripe juicy fruit, medium bodied, with medium acidity and smooth tannins. This wine will easily pair with first courses, like tomato based pastas, spinach and cheese ravioli or a venetian classic like radicchio risotto.
Method
The grapes grow on clay soils of morain (glacial) origin. After harvest, they are softly pressed and fermented for 6-8 days in temperature controlled stainless steel tanks (22-24°C) before undergoing a rest period in stainless steel tanks and bottling.
