From greengrocer to grape grower, Pete Luckett’s hard work, eye for detail and enthusiasm has made him successful in all of his business ventures. It was only natural that Pete plant a vineyard and open a winery on his breathtaking Gaspereau Valley property. Luckett vineyards produces a selection of wines and styles to suit all tastes.
Tasting Notes
Fresh cream & berries, with slight lilac notes on the nose. The palate is crisp & refreshing with notes of strawberry, rhubarb & citrus fruit. Well balanced and refreshing, off dry style. Serve chilled and pair with with fresh greens, salads, grain and vegetable bowls, grilled salmon, roasted turkey or foods with a some spice.
Method
The fruit is sourced from the Luckett Estate vineyard and Khan Vineyards in Lockhartville. Whole cluster Leon Millot and L’Acadie were gently pressed and co-fermented, then blended with a minor percentage of Osceola Muscat; all stainless-steel fermentation, long and slow at 14˚C to retain aromatic qualities of the grapes. Fermentation halted with a temperature drop slightly before the end of fermentation, to leave a slightly higher residual sugar, and to complement the acid structure in the wine. 9 g/l RS.
