Moray Tawse’s pursuit of terroir brought him to Redstone Winery & Restaurant in Beamsville, on the Southern shore of Lake Ontario in the heart of Ontario’s Niagara region.  Beamsville is renowned for its distinctive red clay soil and stones that result in unique and award-winning wines of depth and character.

Tasting Notes

Pale in colour, the nose exhibits beautiful aromas of red cherry, raspberry, rose water, lime and pink peppercorn. On the palate, it is dry, light to medium-bodied, quite concentrated and velvety, showing fantastic flavours of cherry, berries and floral. The finish is long and very-well balanced.


Minimal intervention in the grape growing and winemaking captures the essence of the this unique terroir on the Twenty Mile Bench.  The 38-acre estate vineyard, farmed organically, is perfect for maturing late-ripening varietals including Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah.  Organic farming feeds the vines and controls diseases without the use of synthetic insecticides, fungicides and fertilizers.
This Rosé was made entirely from estate-grown grapes; 55% Cabernet Franc and 45% Syrah.  5 g/L RS.
