Trailway - Threads Sour IPA

Trailway started as a local group of friends in Fredericton, NB, that started brewing beer on a small 1 Barrel (31 Gallon) system in a basement, just selling small amounts to local pubs. After a year of hard work producing some well-received quality beer, they decided to take the idea to another level, so in May of 2016 they opened a 10 barrel brewery and tasting room on Main Street.

Due to a longtime passion for hops, you will find them typically brewing hoppy, hazy, aromatic, flavourful American-style IPA’s, Pale Ales, or anything hop forward!

Folly of the Beast is the result of a winemaker’s quest to make good Pinot Noir with a price tag that doesn’t make you want to weep. Folly of the Beast is named after the great Moby Dick quote “For there is no folly of the beast of the earth that is not infinitely outdone by the madness of men.” It’s Winc’s mission (and madness) to consistently deliver great Pinot at an affordable price. Folly of the Beast wines are made by Winc. Winc’s story bagan in 2012 under another name: Club W. Club W was the world’s first personalized wine club. It made the process of discovering and buying wine easier than ever; eventually this club expanded to other facets of the wine experience.

Winc sources its grapes from many destinations, but it remains connected to every aspect of the winemaking process. Spearheading that commitment is Ryan Zotovich, whose wealth of experience makes him an ideal fit as the Director of Winemaking. Soju is a very popular spirit sold in Korea that is traditionally made by distilling rice and other cereal grains. However, since the 1960s to alleviate rice shortages, most soju has been produced by diluting high strength neutral alcohol from distilled sweet potatoes or tapioca.

Jinro is the top selling spirit company in the world after exploding in popularity with their “chamisul” brand of soju in the 1990s. Jinro soju is so popular that its name is synonymous with the product itself much like Kleenex brand is to tissue.
