La Baronne Les Chemins Blanc

The Ligneres family is bringing much needed attention to the Languedoc of southern France. The story is an unexpected one. Both the husband and wife have a background in medicine, and like many other traditional winemakers have wine running through their veins. Andre is a general practitioner and Suzette is a pharmacist. Together with their children, they manage La Baronne estate. The family is very much hands-on—they utilize dry-farming, hand harvesting, and have been certified organic and biodynamic.

Terre Nere 🏔️

Tenuta delle Terre Nere, on Etna’s northern slopes between Solicchiata and Randazzo, is a benchmark for fine red wines. Owned by Marco De Grazia—an Etna pioneer since 2002—the estate covers 45 hectares, spread across nine distinct “contradas,” each with unique soils, elevations (600–1000m), and old vines (50–100+ years). Remarkably, De Grazia maintains a rare, ungrafted parcel of 140-year-old vines that survived phylloxera. Formerly renowned as an importer of Italian wines to the U.S., De Grazia is now a leading voice in Etna DOC. We love wines from Sicily and more specifically, Mount Etna and we think you’ll love them, too.

Bruichladdich 🥃

Experience Bruichladdich Port Charlotte SC:01 2012; a bold Islay single malt crafted from 100% Islay barley and matured in a mix of sherry, American whiskey, and Sauternes casks. Expect mellow florals, honeyed coconut, rich fudge, and signature BBQ peat smoke—a true expression of Islay’s terroir and craft.

There aren’t many of these to go around so grab a bottle today and avoid disappointment.

Bruichladdich Port Charlotte SC: 01 2012 Sauternes Cask

Built in 1881 by the Harvey Brothers, this mothballed distillery began production again in 2001. Using equipment dating back to the Victorian ages, that is about the only old-fashioned thing about Bruichladdich (brook-lad-ee). Innovative and creative, Bruichladdich has an open minded approach to the barrels used for finishing their scotches (including first growth Bordeaux, Cognac and Amarone casks), as well as modern packaging that holds their spirits.
