The Perrin family is a well known French name in the wine business. From their premium organic estate in Chateauneuf-du-Pape to their value priced consistent quality Le Vielle Ferme range, you know you are going to get a good bottle from Perrin. Perrin Nature falls under their “Crus” range which highlights the flavours of the Southern Rhône Valley and its diverse terroirs. With the same expertise and the same passion as for Château de Beaucastel, the family prides itself in bringing out the true character of each terroir. The “Famille Perrin” way makes each wine unique: using organic and biodynamic approaches, mastering the art of blending and bringing out the freshness of the Southern aromas.
Tasting Notes
Pretty pale-yellow colour with a light green undertone. The nose is very delicate with notes of white flowers, lime blossom and citrus zest. A rounded texture balanced by lots of freshness on the palate showing flavours of orange blossom, lime curd and fresh cream. This dry wine has great freshness and harmony between fruity and floral aromas. Enjoy with shellfish, seafood pastas, grilled vegetables, plentiful salads and fresh cheese.
Method
A blend of organically grown Grenache Blanc, Marsanne, Roussanne and Viognier. The vineyard is located in the northern part of Côtes du Rhône, on the locality of Vinsobres and its surroundings. The soil is composed of stones, gravelly clay and limestone. The grapes are harvested early in the morning to preserve their freshness. After pressing, the juices are cold settled in order to remove suspended particles. The alcoholic fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks with controlled temperatures of 16 ° C. The wines are then racked and aged in stainless steel tanks until bottling.
