Spy Valley Sauvignon Blanc

First established in 1993 by Bryan and Jan Johnson in Marlborough, the couple started with 153ha and have since grown to 162ha+ across the region. Producing their first vintage under the Spy Valley label in 2000, the winery is still 100% family-owned, something of a rarity in New Zealand today. The winery sits just up the road from the Waihopai Station, a secure communication facility run by the New Zealand government- inspiring the name Spy Valley and its other label, Satellite.

The primary focus lies with Pinot Noir and Sauvignon Blanc, two classic varietals found all over the country. However, the team at Spy Valley has a passion for aromatic wines and also grows/produces wines from the following grapes: Riesling, Chardonnay, Pinot Gris, Gewürztraminer, Merlot, Syrah, and Malbec. With 150,000+ cases annually, both the winery and vineyards are certified sustainable by the New Zealand Winegrowing program.

Kim Crawford Sauvignon Blanc

The vineyards of Kim Crawford are located in outstanding, predominantly coastal sites. The grapes benefit from long days, clean sea breezes and crisp nights. In combination with New Zealand’s long and dry autumn season, our grapes ripen slowly, which allows them to build flavor intensity as well as develop a sophisticated acidity. In the end, it is this unique combination of factors–from regions and soils, to temperatures and growth rates–that give Kim Crawford a perfect balance of fruit and acidity.

Veuve Fourny Blanc de Blancs Brut Nature

Veuve Fourny has been an active family domaine since 1856. The estate is located in the prestigious Côte des Blancs, in the premier cru village of Vertus, an appellation that gives them the rare opportunity to grow Pinot Noir as well as Chardonnay. Veuve Fourny produces classic grower Champagne, raising pedigreed fruit, adhering to high standards, and hand-crafting wines that showcase the chalky terroir of Vertus. All of the Fournys’ vineyards are farmed according to the same meticulous practices and principles, and each parcel is vinified individually. The house style at Veuve Fourny is best characterized as classic Côte des Blancs: a fine bead, rich, deep aromatics, and a complex minerality emphasizing freshness and purity. The Fournys believe in minimal dosage for all of their Champagnes, preferring to let the individual terroirs express themselves more clearly. This technique, in addition to their dedication to partial malolactic fermentations in their overall blends, impeccable vineyard management, and their decision to age most base wine partially in barrel, all contribute to their unique style.
