Zenato is a historic and well respected name in Northern Italy’s Veneto region. Sergio Zenato started the winery in 1960 and today the family tradition in winemaking is carried on by his children Alberto and Nadia. The estate produces a range of white, red and rose wines. Today, Zenato has 95 hectares of vineyards between San Benedetto di Lugana, which provides the ideal conditions for growing Trebbiano di Lugana, and Sant’Ambrogio in Valpolicella, home to the celebrated wine Amarone and Zenato’s top reds, and the renowned grape varieties Corvina, Rondinella, and Oseleta. They are known for consistently producing high quality wines that appeal to a broad range of palates; from the most discerning to the very casual wine consumer.
François-Xavier Nicholas is an artisan negociant in the Rhône area of France and he primarily works with growers in the Rhône, Provence and Languedoc regions. He recognizes that quality ingredients are the foundation of good wines hence his close relationships with growers and is hands on approach in the cellar. He works closely with with vignerons and winemakers to ensure that wines under his label are crafted with the best fruit and in the style that best expressed their primary ingredients and the land.
