Domaine Beatrice et Pascal Lambert Les Terrasses Chinon

Domaine Beatrice et Pascal Lambert is an organic and biodynamic estate in Chinon. They use no chemicals in the vineyards and in their winemaking and as a result are able to highlight the typicity of the terroir as it is expressed through their grapes.

Tasting Notes

Made from Cabernet Franc grapes grown on alluvial glacial silex soils in the Vallee de Cravant les Coteaux. The vines are on average 10 to 30 years old. The grapes are destemmed and fermented for 15 days in oak barrels with only indigenous yeasts. The wine is bottled unfined with just a light filtration. The wine is a deep and brilliant purple with an elegant bouquet of ripe red fruits, a vibrant palate, lots of crunchy red fruit and light approachable tannins. This wine is a pleasure to enjoy now.

Our Thoughts

You won’t find a more honestly made wine.  The grapes are grown biodynamically- fermented and aged in concrete, and bottled with just minimal sulfur addition.  The results are beyond pleasurable.  Crunchy red fruits with slight floral lift, this wine is so versatile at the dinner table – drink it with pasta dishes or even grilled salmon.
