Tasting Notes
Pale German malt and noble Euro hops come together and provide a light spicy and pithy profile with a moderately bitter finish and a cracker-like body. Like all good Pilsner, these beers are effortless to drink again and again.
Method
Compared to the original Czech style, German Pilsner should have a lighter and more “snappy” texture. It is drier on the finish, and often displays more hop bitterness and increased hop aroma. The hop aroma is of noble German hops that provide herbal, grassy, and pepper aromas.
Tidepool is fresh and crisp thanks to Escarpment Lab’s Isar Lager yeast, Weyermann Pilsner Malt, and a combination of German Saphir and French Strisselspalt hops.
