Alvear Sherry 🇪🇸

Tucked in the gentle rolling hills of the picturesque town of Montilla, Bodegas Alvear was founded by Diego de Alvear y Escalera in 1729; making it the oldest winery in the Andalusia region. One of the most esteemed and recognized producers, Alvear has been a family owned winery for over 300 years and is now in its eighth generation. With each generation the family has maintained the historic property, while at the same time, kept up with any technical advancements in winemaking.

Over the years, Michele Chiarlo has realized a success and recognition brought by constant pursuit of quality. The winery is 100% family owned and operated, showcasing only local, single varietal expressions of terroir- no international grapes and no blends. Today, we have a new wine from this popular winery to add to our expansive Italian portfolio, as well as some returning favourites from the Piedmonte outfit.
