Tasting Notes
Expressive and aromatic with ripe tropical and stone fruit and white blossoms on the nose.
The fresh fruit flavours carry over to the palate, which is off-dry yet balanced by lively acidity. Enjoy served around 7-10°C.
Method
With a label inspired by the native wildflowers of Nova Scotia, Flora is a blend of select aromatic white varieties that have proven to be a natural match for our cool climate. A Germanic-inspired white blend, Flora displays the signature perfumed, fragrant aromatics and freshness of the region. Fermentation in 100% stainless steel to preserve primary fruit flavours and aromatic purity. A blend including Siegerrebe, Ortega, Riesling & Gewürztraminer.
A rare late spring frost following bud break in the spring of 2018 decimated tender vine growth, devastating grape yields across Nova Scotia. Due to the residual impact of this event on cropping levels, this blend was supplemented with grapes from our industry colleagues in the Niagara region of Ontario, sourced from growers who share the same philosophies for ultra premium quality, sustainable winegrowing practices. The Nova Scotia grown components were lower yielding as a result of the frost, enhancing aromatic intensity and ultimately providing the resultant blend with a signature Nova Scotia aromatic profile. Off dry and 10.5% abv.
