If you sat me down and made me choose a favourite wine in the store, I’m picking this wine, no question. This is a prime example of what makes white burgundy so amazing. This is a wine of contrasting tasting notes, in the best way. It’s simultaneously bright but deep, fresh but rich, steely but creamy, buttery and nutty but salty…all of this in the best way. Its bouquet is singing of citrus, golden apple, apple blossoms, ripe pear, and sea salt. The palate is mouthcoating, cleansing, zesty and offers a long, complex finish.
Think of this wine as an athlete in a tailored suit – structured and solid, not necessarily super flashy but undeniably high-performance, precise, disciplined and refined.
