Belgian Tripel
The name “Tripel” actually stems from part of the brewing process, in which brewers use up to three times the amount of malt than a standard Trappist “Simple.” Medium bodied with a slight sweetness and robust, pale malt flavour, the Belgian tripel may have a good deal of hop flavour and aroma. The tripel is also characterized by lots of fruitiness and some peppery spiciness.
