The Duero Valley

Spain’s Duero river is the same as Portugal’s famous Duoro.  Along this meandering river are the quality regions of Ribera del Duero, Toro and Rueda.  Tempranillo is the main red grape and goes by many regional aliases while Verdejo and Viura are the local white grapes.
