Rueda

Rueda lies between Toro and Ribera del Duero and is known for its white wine production from the Verdejo grape.  Modern white Rueda is fresh, light bodied, fruity and crisp, though somewinemakers produce richer styles using skin contact and barrel fermentation.  Sauvignon Blanc is another significant white grape grown in the region.
