Lavis Cabernet Sauvignon
Located in the city of Trento in the heart of Italy’s alpine Trentino region, the La-Vis cooperative includes more than 800 growers, with an average of one hectare planted to vine among them. All farming is done by hand in strict compliance with monitoring by Italy’s Integrated Crop Management National Quality System. Although some of them use modern trellis training for the vines, many of them still use pergola training which naturally regulates the temperature of the plants and their canopy in colder months (keeping them warmer) and in summer (helping to keep them cooler). Perhaps the most impressive thing about the La-Vis cooperative is the winery’s vineyard zoning project which it completed and implemented more than 30 years ago. The concept is simple: grow the right grapes in the right place. In other words, plant each grape type in the parcels most suited for it. The wines of La-Vis are known for their freshness and vibrancy, their focused floral and fruit aromas and rich fruit flavors.

Gachot-Monot Bourgogne Hautes Cotes de Beaune
The wines of Gachot-Monot represent excellent value in Burgundian wines. They offer an outstanding price-to-quality ratio. This fifth-generation vigneron and his Danish wife, Lise, farm twelve hectares in the village of Corgoloin, in between Nuits-Saint-Georges and Beaune. They first came to Kermit’s attention via the master of La Tâche himself, Aubert de Villaine and another great Burgundian producer, Bertrand Chevillon. Damien was first saluted by the Hospices de Beaune as a young talent to be watched. Kermit Lynch has been importing his wines since the 2000 vintage.

Leeuwin Estate Art Cabernet Sauvignon
Family owned, Leeuwin Estate, one of the five founding wineries of the now famous Margaret River district of Western Australia, is under the direction of two generations who work with a team of highly skilled winemakers to consistently produce wines ranking alongside the world’s finest. In 1972, legendary Napa Valley winemaker, Robert Mondavi, identified the future site of the Leeuwin vineyard as being ideal for the production of premium wine and provided early mentorship to Denis and Tricia Horgan in the transformation of their cattle farm into Leeuwin Estate. Enjoying its first commercial vintage in 1979, Leeuwin was thrust into the international spotlight when Decanter Magazine gave its highest recommendation to the 1981 “Art Series” Chardonnay. The international accolades have continued and Leeuwin now exports to 30 markets. Celebrating the combination of fine wine, food, art and music, Leeuwin features an award winning restaurant, cellardoor and art gallery. The Estate is renowned for staging spectacular events and welcoming visitors from around the world.

Daou Cabernet Sauvignon
As children growing up in Lebanon, Georges and Daniel fell in love with the rural way of life during visits to their grandfather’s ancient olive groves. Their world was turned upside down, however, when the Daou family home was struck by an errant rocket at the start of the Lebanese civil war. The Daous were forced to emigrate to Paris and later moved to Southern France. It was here — surrounded by vineyards that reminded them of their childhood — that Georges and Daniel first began to dream of a life in wine. Georges and Daniel came to the United States to study engineering at the University of California San Diego and graduated at the top of their classes. Industrious and driven to succeed, they soon started their own networking technology company. Ten years later they would find themselves at the height of their industry and ready to return to their roots. It was now time for their winemaking dream to prevail.

Long Meadow Ranch Anderson Pinot Noir
In the late 1800’s, the majestic Long Meadow Ranch property thrived with vineyards, apple orchards, olive groves, hay and a goat milk dairy until farming fell dormant during Prohibition. Over the following years, the property became swallowed by the encroaching forest until the Halls bought the property in 1989. The Hall family carefully breathed life back into the land, nurturing it back to its glory, and then some, by cutting back the abandoned olive trees and replanting the vineyards and apple orchards as you see them growing today.
There are over 150 acres of Long Meadow Ranch vineyards planted in Napa and Anderson Valley that are farmed organically. The Hall family and Long Meadow Ranch artisans work together on the various properties that make up Long Meadow Ranch focusing on agriculture, wine, food and service.
