This is a unique red blend from Italy’s smallest wine producing (and smallest, least populated geographic region) Vallée D’Aosta.
This bilingual French and Italian area boasts a range of characterful indigenous grapes rarely found outside its borders. Its northerly Alpine location means it has a continental climate with Alpine influence that you can detect in the cool climate freshness of its light and bright wines.
Grosjean is a long established family producer focused on native grapes and crafts organic wines in the Valle d’Aosta DOC subzone of Torrette.
This wine is predominantly made from Petit Rouge blended with other indigenous grapes (Nus, Fumin, Cornalin). A fresh and bright red, with snappy red fruit, light florality and peppery notes on the nose and palate. Pairs easily with a range of foods; anything from charcuterie, white meats, mushroom risotto or a seasonal minestrone.Read more about Alanna
