Meletti, a name that resonates with quality, history, and artisanal craftsmanship, is the embodiment of Italian tradition in the world of spirits. With over 150 years of dedication to the art of distillation, Meletti is one of the oldest and most respected distilleries in the world, a testament to the enduring passion and expertise that have defined the brand for generations.
The story of Meletti begins in 1870 with Silvio Meletti, whose passion for crafting liqueurs was inspired by his parents, both distillers. From humble roots in the Le Marche region of Italy, Silvio set out to create exceptional spirits, and today, the Meletti brand continues to be a symbol of elegance, tradition and quality. What sets Meletti apart is not just its recipes, passed down through five generations, but its enduring identity as a family-run business.
Headquartered in Percoto, Italy, The Nonino family of has been distilling since 1897. The project has come a long way from their humble beginning operating a mobile still on wheels. The Nonino family has embraced technology and innovation to create an exciting portfolio of spirits and was the first to produce a single grape varietal grappa in the 1970s. Though their facilities have grown and their methods have changed, the distillery remains very much a family affair to this day.
Soju is a very popular spirit sold in Korea that is traditionally made by distilling rice and other cereal grains. However, since the 1960s to alleviate rice shortages, most soju has been produced by diluting high strength neutral alcohol from distilled sweet potatoes or tapioca.
Jinro is the top selling spirit company in the world after exploding in popularity with their “chamisul” brand of soju in the 1990s. Jinro soju is so popular that its name is synonymous with the product itself much like Kleenex brand is to tissue.
The history of Livon wines dates back 1964 when Dorino Livon bought his first vineyards on the hills of Collio, in Italy’s North eastern region of Friuli bordering Slovenia. He built a winery perfectly equipped with the most technologically advanced systems in order to produce high quality and fresh white and red wines. The Collio region is re-known for producing some of Italy’s most enduring white wines. Livon has a diverse portfolio of wines and has earned a reputation for crafting brilliant white wines in Collio, though their holdings have expanded to other areas in Italy. Livon produces both approachable everyday drinking white wines as well as limited production wines from designated Cru and Gran Cru sites.
Derived from the Polish word for “luxury”, Luksusowa has been in operation since 1928, making it one of Poland’s oldest vodkas. Now owned by French-based Pernod Ricard, Luksusowa accounts for 10% of the Polish Vodka market.
In 1987, Aurelio Montes and Douglas Murray, both highly experienced wine professionals, wanted to realize their dream of producing Chilean wines a quantum-leap higher in quality than the standards of the time and were the first winery to officially make a premium wine with their 1987 Montes Alpha Cabernet Sauvignon. In 1988, they joined up with the other two founders, Alfredo Vidaurre and Pedro Grand, who brought their own complementary skills and expertise to the venture. Montes is a pioneer in the Chilean wine industry and today produces a range of wines in various category levels, from entry level easy drinking wines to premium and ultra premium wines.
First established in 1993 by Bryan and Jan Johnson in Marlborough, the couple started with 153ha and have since grown to 162ha+ across the region. Producing their first vintage under the Spy Valley label in 2000, the winery is still 100% family-owned, something of a rarity in New Zealand today. The winery sits just up the road from the Waihopai Station, a secure communication facility run by the New Zealand government- inspiring the name Spy Valley and its other label, Satellite.
The primary focus lies with Pinot Noir and Sauvignon Blanc, two classic varietals found all over the country. However, the team at Spy Valley has a passion for aromatic wines and also grows/produces wines from the following grapes: Riesling, Chardonnay, Pinot Gris, Gewürztraminer, Merlot, Syrah, and Malbec. With 150,000+ cases annually, both the winery and vineyards are certified sustainable by the New Zealand Winegrowing program.

Zenato is a historic and well respected name in Northern Italy’s Veneto region. Sergio Zenato started the winery in 1960 and today the family tradition in winemaking is carried on by his children Alberto and Nadia. The estate produces a range of white and red wines.

Wyborowa Vodka (which means “choice vodka”) has been made since before the 19th century and remains a bestseller in its native Poland today. In 1873 it began to catch on throughout Europe and in 1927 it became the first vodka brand to gain an international trademark.
Though the Poznań distillery fell on hard economic times in the early 90s, the international acclaim of the brand led the French beverage company, Pernod Ricard, to purchase the brand and has grown its global market share significantly since.
