Navarra

Navarra stretches from North Eastern Rioja to the foothills of the Pyrenees, south of Pamplona.   It was once known only for its roses made from Garnacha, though the region;s red wine production is on the rise.  Look for red Garnacha and Tempranillo as well as Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon.  White wines are commonly made from Viura, Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc.
