Rias Baixas

Rias Baixas is located in coastal Galicia; it is a wet and humid maritime region, so experiences more vintage variation than anywhere else in Spain.  The main grape is Albarino and it makes the best white wines as a single varietal, though there are other permitted white grape varietals in Rias Baixas as well as reds.   Albarino makes a refreshing and crisp wine that is best enjoyed young.  There are some richer versions that see a touch of oak.
