1 bottle Jean Max Roger Sancerre (White) $40.00/bottle

The crisp and clean nose with has minerals, leafy green herbs, apples, citrus zest and white flowers. This dry wine has light to med body and crisp acidity. On the palate, crisp citrus, minerals, tart apples, are interwoven with a nice herbal note. The finish is fairly long with loads of citrus and stony minerality.

1 bottle Salvard Cheverny Blanc (White) $32.00/bottle

This is a heck of a buy- a baby Sancerre- with crisp, elegant notes of fresh peas, lemon grass, honeysuckle and citrus oil. Composed of 85% Sauvignon Blanc and 15% Chardonnay (all tank-fermented and aged), it is best consumed over the next year.

1 bottle Chateau Ragotiere Muscadet (White) $23.00/bottle

This is an exceptional Muscadet. It still has plenty of freshness along with a tight, mineral texture and lightly smoky flavors. The concentration gives the wine richness while it remains bone dry and crisp.

Bright aromas of citrus, green fruit , freshly cut grass and white flowers. The palate is clean with refreshing acidity and citrus and gooseberry flavours.

The Villa Blanche Chardonnay has a delicate nose of white peach, dried apricots and floral notes. It is medium bodied and round in the mouth balanced fruit and acid and just a whisper of spice and oak.

Intensely aromatic, showing hints of herbs, and ripe cherry fruit on the nose. This is a Pinot Noir that shows Burgundy-style soft tannins and no harsh edges. The palate is elegant and textured with smooth, sappy red cherry fruit.

1 bottle Petit Thouars Les Georges Chinon (Red) $24.00/bottle

This wine is named after the present day owner’s ancestor Georges Aubert de Saint Georges; who acquired Château du Petit Thouars and became the Comte du Petit Thouars in 1636.  The Cabernet Franc grapes are fermented with the skins for good tannic structure, aromatics and depth of fruit flavour. The nose is pronounced with red fruit, floral notes and white pepper.

This Cotes du Rhone is made from 100% Syrah, rather than a blend of grapes. The nose opens with a lovely floral violet, followed by dark berries, tobacco and charcoal notes. The palate echoes the nose and there is a pleasing grip on the finish. This is a well structured Cotes du Rhone, with excellent purity of fruit and vibrancy.

Le Ballon produces affordable and delicious organic wines in Languedoc-Roussillon France. Le Ballon Rouge is a blend of 50% Grenache, 30% Cinsault and 20% Cabernet Sauvignon growing on soils of basalt and gravelly clay. Delicious with grilled pork chops, seasonal vegetables with fresh herbs.

1 bottle Saint Jean du Barroux La Source (Red) $24.00/bottle

A blend of organic Grenache, Carignan, Cinsault from the Ventoux region which is at once sunny, mountainous and cool. The grapes are handpicked and de-stemmed before undergoing a 7 day maceration to extract colour, fruit and tannins. The wine ages in concrete and enamel tanks before bottling. The result is a concentrated fruit focused wines that beautifully expresses terroir. This wine can be enjoyed now, but has all of the structure and fruit character to develop for another ten years.
