Lambrusco

Lambrusco is both the name of an ancient Italian family of grapes as well an Italian red wine made mainly from that grape.   Lambrusco wine is made in a few different styles; dry (secco) and slightly sweet (semisesso) and most are always slightly sparkling (frizzante).  There are a few varieties of Lambrusco all of which can be made into different styles, the four best are Lambrusco di Sorbara, Lambrusco Maestri, Lambrusco Grasparossa, Lambrusco Salamino.
