Petite Sirah
Petite Sirah, also known as Durif, is a variety of red wine grape primarily grown in Australia, California, France and Israel. The “petite” in the name of this grape actually refers to the size of the berries, the smaller size creates a high skin to juice ratio which produces a tannic wine.
This grape produces wines with a spicy, plummy flavour that develops into aromas of melted chocolate when fermented in new oak barrels.
