This might not be a wine you automatically reach for on the shelf, as it’s nearly impossible to read the label; white font on a yellow background is just a blur!  Then I realized that that design choice was likely intentional and very clever; recalling the name “Texture like Sun Red” and the feeling of being blinded by the sun on a summer’s day.

This is a naturally made blend of 6 different grapes ; Grenache, Gewurztraminer, Gamay, Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier and Syrah.  The biodynamically grown grapes are handpicked, de-stemmed, cold soaked, co-fermented, bottled unfiltered and unfined.  The wine is bright and fresh, light on the palate but delivers great texture and concentration.  It pops with really cool aromas and flavours like rhubarb, pink grapefruit, gummy berries, cherry, dried rose petals and pepper.  It’s not a one note wonder and is the type of wine that brings a bit of sunny joy and those summertime vibes to any table. Serve slightly chilled.
