Alice Shirtliffe

Customer Service Sales Associate

Hi, Alice! Coming to us from Saskatoon, Alice has connections to the restaurant industry, working as both a server and host. With a passion for oil painting, Alice came to Halifax and graduated from NSCAD with a Bachelor of Fine Art and a Minor in Art History. In her spare time, Alice devotes a lot of herself to her art and looking for more art opportunities. Juggling both her work here and at a local art gallery, Alice is new to the world of wine and eager to learn!

Favourite grape or wine region?

Hmmm…. I haven’t settled on a favourite (yet), but I’ve yet to try anything from the Loire Valley that I didn’t like.

Share with us something personal; what is your favourite book, movie or song?

Franny and Zooey by J.D. Salinger is a story I really cherish.

What’s one thing that people would be shocked to know about you?

I’m a huge LEGO nerd – currently building a minifig scale recreation of my house.

🌊 Coastal Wines

When summer’s in bloom, I’m reminded of fresh fruit, fragrant herbs, and late afternoon sun in my backyard. Clos Roussely L’Escale encompasses all this and more, with a bright, round texture and characteristic Loire Valley minerality. Grown in a certified organic vineyard in the heart of Chenonceaux, each glass is bursting with citrus zest, pineapple, apricot, and fresh herbs—the perfect companion to all the local produce this month’s markets have to offer. Pair with a meal of seafood or white meat, or else take a hint from the label and enjoy in the comfort of a hammock with a good book.
