Maida is one of the newest additions to the retail team down at Bishop’s Cellar, starting with us in Spring 2024. New to the beverage and alcohol industry, Maida is eager to learn and is looking to start working through the Wine & Spirit Education Trust (WSET) program. Don’t be shy and say hi to Maida next time you’re in the shop!

I am obsessed with True Crime.

If you weren’t selling wine at Bishop’s Cellar, what would you be doing?

I would be focusing on expanding my nail business.

🏺 Our Wine Journey

As you can tell from my previous wine of choice, I wasn’t a big wine drinker. Sweet, simple and affordable were the preferred characteristics of my beverage of choice; however working here has expanded both my palate and knowledge. Pask Chardonnay is an excellent wine from New Zealand boasting bright acidity, juicy citrus, and a creamy yet dry finish. With that being said, my palate may have come a long way but my wallet hasn’t and at $25 a bottle, I couldn’t recommend a better chard.
